Boris Ryzhy's poetry was and remains not quite poetry with all its music of words. It is a wisdom that never ceases to amaze. It is a magic circle of Pushkin, Lermontov, Mayakovsky, Vysotsky. He also resembles Shukshin, and the latter saw the simplest things with incredible acuity. He was absorbed in all the movements of reality, in all its curves and absurdities, nightmare and beauty. And when you read him, you cry and laugh. And your heart aches with delight. And you cry again. And you realize that the most terrible thing is inevitable: a strong man goes to the place from which they do not return.
