"My fetus has been seen by Thy eyes. A Love Story" is the first book of the trilogy "CoDex 1962" (CoDex 1962) by Sjón, one of the most original writers of modern Iceland. The action takes place during World War II in the small German town of Kkjenstadt. In the local hotel suddenly appears a half-dead fugitive from a concentration camp. He is holding a hat box containing a special clay that will be used to mold a child. The fugitive is hidden in a secret room of the hotel, where he is nursed by the maid Marie-Sophie. Sjón (b. 1962) is an Icelandic poet, novelist, playwright, screenwriter, and translator. Author of ten novels and thirteen collections of poetry. Winner of the Nordic Council Literature Prize (2005), the Icelandic Literature Prize (2013), Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (2021). He is known as the author of lyrics to Björk's songs, was nominated for an Oscar (2001) as a co-writer of her song for the movie "Dancing in the Dark". His book Skugga Baldur (2022) was published in Russian.
