The impetus for writing this book was the Patriarchate of Constantinople's recognition of two schismatic denominations in Ukraine in 2018-2019 and their proclamation as the sole legitimate Church—instead of the existing canonical Church—based on the so-called theory of primacy. This led to a number of insurmountable consequences, the most serious of which is the danger of a schism within the family of Local Orthodox Churches.

A comprehensive study of the issue reveals that the theory of the primacy of the Patriarch of Constantinople is in fundamental and irreconcilable conflict with the conciliar life of the Orthodox Church and its traditional ecclesiology, which, paradoxically, the theologians and canonists of the Phanar consider "new."

Readers are offered a critique of the concept of primacy of honor and authority based on the principles of conciliar church structure, according to which the Local Orthodox Churches are equal, without dominance over one another, but with due regard for their honorable place in the church diptychs.

One of the main conclusions of this book is that the theory of primacy, with its emphasis on the administrative powers of the Patriarch of Constantinople, is unacceptable as it contradicts the canons of the Church and pan-ecclesiastical tradition.
