The first part of the School is a piano primer, offering a comprehensive overview of completely new teaching materials for learning the keyboard and musical notation. This feature distinguishes this manual from previous publications, where the section devoted to the initial period of learning is practically absent or reduced to a minimum. The numerous songs presented in this part are understandable even to the youngest musicians, easy to perform, and comfortable to sing. The amount of material offered for mastering the basic techniques of playing the instrument is sufficient to consolidate acquired knowledge and skills. To develop children's imaginative and associative thinking, the first part of the School is illustrated. The verbal text combined with the pictures sparks the child's imagination, allowing them to discuss the song's content with them and attempt to convey it musically.
The two subsequent parts are structured like traditional collections for beginners.
The second section is intended for students in grades 1 and 2. It includes all the necessary sections of the curriculum, and the repertoire is organized by increasing difficulty. Works by classical composers and arrangements of folk songs, traditionally used in teaching practice, are supplemented by new pieces by contemporary composers.
The third part contains the pedagogical repertoire for students in grades 2 and 3. All sections of the curriculum are presented here: polyphonic works, large-scale forms, pieces, and etudes.
