The novel "Kruzhilikha" is set during the final months of World War II. A large defense plant is located in a working-class town in the Urals, where the factory floors hum with activity around the clock. The war brought together very different people, but they are united by their desire to help the front. The novel is about the people who brought victory closer with their labor—engineers, designers, and schoolchildren who were forced to grow up prematurely and work at their machines alongside adults.

In a small provincial town, there lives a worker named Evdokim and his wife Evdokia. Both are hardworking, industrious, and thrifty, but they have no children of their own, so they have adopted children. Their life may seem simple and ordinary at first glance, but in reality, it is full of powerful passions, vibrant, and important events that compel deep empathy.
