You've probably heard the phrase, "It all starts in childhood." We think about it when things aren't going well in life, when we realize that some fears, anxieties, self-doubt, inability to build relationships, or bad habits can be linked to those difficult childhood events, when our parents weren't paying attention to us, when they scolded and punished us for accidentally tearing our jackets, bad grades in school, or our curiosity.

"So what?" you think. "Will these distant childhood events always influence my destiny?"
Perhaps you already have children. So how should you raise children properly, without overprotecting them, how can you control and regulate their behavior, how can you help them become happy if you yourself aren't always happy?

Don't be too strict and demanding of yourself and your children. If you feel like your children aren't paying enough attention to you, spending too much time exploring the world around them, or being too happy without you, don't be upset, don't get offended, or scold yourself or them. This means you're a good parent. You're always there for them. You're always in their hearts.
