"Everything is complicated" is the status on social networks of many people, and Liza Sorokina from the story "The White Magpie" is no exception. It is written almost thoughtlessly, without trying to understand what exactly "everything" is. And that's the hard part. To grow up. To understand. To love. When your head can't keep up with a world that's suddenly changed. And your body. And you start to hate yourself. For being different. White, but not even a crow. A magpie. Alina and Talka from the story "Ladoga Shadows" do not resemble each other: one lives in 2019, the other in 1997. Alina has her stories, LITO classes, understanding parents, expressive girlfriends. Talka has good company, adult protectors, and lots of troubles. Both are unclear how to live on, because Tim has left for another city, and Zalevsky is going to get married. Both of them will have to find a way out, which, perhaps, will connect different people and different times.
